Hi everyone, I have a question about updating some of my Intel Drivers, like the Intel(R) vii Serial/C216 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller driver. I've been searching the web and Intel site, just I tin can't find the drivers for it. I know mine is very out of date and needs updating, but Windows Update says information technology's using the well-nigh up to version (Which information technology always says even when nosotros know it'south non true), and Intel Hardware Checker app doesn't seem to discover it. So I'm very confused and was wondering if anyone has a link to the drivers for this controller, or could offer me whatsoever advice delight.
Thank you lot

Give thanks you, that is ane I found already, but I was unsure every bit it doesn't say annihilation about C216. Plus, it says the latest is 2012, but a lot of other sites I found show updates from 2013 and early 2014 :-\
[Edit] Lamentable I should have added my Mobo model: ASUS Z77 Sabertooth. I did check the ASUS page but I was ever told to download drivers like these direct from Intel themselves.

But try to get the latest version. Is your electric current driver the latest version? If you're non having problems, leave it as is.

Well I just added a couple of extra SSD's to my rig, I benched them subsequently any firmware updates were washed. The results were very dull, and I know 100% that they are plugged into Intel SATA three (6GBs) ports with SATA 3 cables. So I checked my drivers equally I recently did a fresh install of Win7, and I saw my Intel Chipset drivers are from early 2011.

Yeah I do understand what y'all hateful, I would normally take a bench as a rough guide, merely before I did the fresh install of Win 7, my boot SSD benched at effectually 505MBs Read and 490MBs Write, that was with loads of junk on it. Just at present since the install and my drivers have gone back to being nigh 4 years out of appointment, it benched one-half of that speed! One of the new SSD's benched slower than a 5 year old SATA 2 (3GBs) HDD. I take tested the new SSD's, not including my boot drive, on another PC and they benched at the speed they should and seemed a lot fast in normal utilize too.
And so I think I definitely need to update these drivers similar I did a couple of years back, but now, I only tin can't find them anywhere.

Yep, I had them earlier my fresh OS install, I think mine were from 2012/2013, and I have seen people with versions as recent as 2014. But.... I can't detect them anywhere and I accept really search hard :-\
The latest Chipset drivers on the ASUS site is from early 2012 which is a kickoff, merely while searching the web, I found a few sites like Lenovo, DriversCape, eastward.t.c.. that have more upwardly to date versions from 2014. I'thousand just non sure if they would be compatible with mine and if sites like DriversCape are safety to use.

Simply wouldn't the Lenovo drivers be specifically for Lenovo devices??? Sorry if that's a derpy question, drivers are non my strong suit. I mean I would be willing to try them, simply what could result from the wrong or incompatible chipset driver??? Would be easy to part back to a uniform i, or would information technology exist catastrophic??
